An established specialty mechanical contractor is looking for a responsible and reliable individual to join our expanding organization as a UST/AST Inspector. This position is responsible for performing mandated compliance inspections and completing corrective action items for petroleum and fluid storage systems at UST and AST facilities. We understand the unique nature of this position and will train someone with a great work ethic and commitment to customer service to become a licensed inspector and learn the mechanical trade.
• Schedule appointments with tank owners or site management as necessary for each site visit; local travel to 50+ facilities per month.
• Completely and accurately perform UST inspection following a step-by-step process using state-of-the-art software.
• Communicate performance risks and corrective action items to program managers or owners/operators as required.
• Follow all company job site safety procedures, including safe motor vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• Reliable individual who is self-directed and able to work independently; exceptional organization skills.
• Proficient use of computers, printers, and cell phones along with the ability to email; quick learner who will understand and use inspection software; able to create and update spreadsheets and use other related software.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license and be able to drive extensively to perform inspection services; a clean driving record is required.
• Ability to review and interpret data; must be able to read and understand mechanical documents; ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers; able to submit billing information.
• Able to read and learn to interpret measuring, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical diagrams; able to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Certification as a Designated Underground Storage Tank Operator or ability to become certified within 30 days; we will provide training and testing.
• 40-Hour OSHA training and any industrial safety experience; the company will provide the required training.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform manual mechanical repairs; occasional tasks may exceed 50 pounds. Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to complete and pass pre-employment full spectrum drug screening and randomly throughout employment.
• A competent understanding of UST systems and current regulations regarding proper operation is desirable. Exceptional mechanical aptitude: previous petroleum equipment service or prior related experience is a plus.

This is a full-time position. Compensation will include health, vision, and dental insurance with paid leave following a 60-day probationary period; paid personal time off and paid holiday leave; eligible for matching 401k after 1 year of employment.

The position of Project Coordinator entails carrying out diverse administrative and accounting responsibilities to provide support to managers, engineers, and field staff. The role necessitates a comprehension of the company’s services, as well as a grasp of the fundamental components and operation of a fueling system. This knowledge forms the basis for estimating services, invoicing, and understanding the intricacies of job cost accounting. A highly organized professional with the capacity to work independently will make a substantial contribution to the operational efficiency of the business.

Responsibilities
• Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients, and other external partners
• Compile materials, bid materials, and subcontractor quotes to prepare estimates
• Track job progress and prepare invoices; prepare AIA invoices and waivers
• Collect and organize submittals and/or health and safety plans for projects
• Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage calendars to ensure task deadlines are met and invoicing for completed work is prepared accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports when needed; oversee project budgets and manage job cost accounting
• Compose and create marketing materials; organize and manage marketing programs
• Oversee the performance of other clerical staff when necessary
• Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports, and related support documents; Organize and maintain a filing system
• Take minutes during meetings; distribute information and correspondence to other employees
• Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence
• Maintain absolute confidentiality of company information, Non-disclosure Agreement

Skills
• BS in Business Administration or equivalent
• Notary or able to become a notary ASAP
• Experienced in preparing and analyzing financial data, proficient in the use of QuickBooks
• Work experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or similar role; experience in an engineering and/or construction company is preferred; discretion and confidentiality a must
• Excellent MS Office knowledge; exceptional computer skills
• Able to create and perform tasks for a marketing program, a plus
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with office equipment and applications (e.g. calendars and copy machines)
• Enthusiastic and conscientious professional with a sense of humor; self-reliant and desire to provide superior service to others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work effectively with others and build relationships with clients and vendors
• Able to pass full-spectrum drug testing throughout employment
